Our Story

Where the archipelago meets the roaster

Rempah Brew was born from a simple question: why should you choose between a great cup of coffee and something good for your body? Growing up surrounded by the rich spice traditions of Indonesia, we knew the answer was that you should never have to.

We source our spices directly from Indonesian farmers who have cultivated these plants for generations. Each drip bag is then carefully crafted and roasted in Australia, bringing together two worlds in every brew.

How to brew

The perfect drip

Tear open the sachet
01

Tear open the sachet

Tear open the sachet along the perforated line. Handle it carefully so the coffee grounds stay inside the drip bag.

Hang over your cup
02

Hang over your cup

Unfold the hooks on both sides of the drip bag and place them securely over the rim of your cup. Make sure the bag is stable before pouring.

Brew in four pours
03

Brew in four pours

Pour 50 ml of hot water (95°C) slowly over the coffee grounds. Let it brew for 30 seconds, then repeat. Continue for a total of four pours, using 50 ml of water and allowing 30 seconds for each pour. This gives the coffee and spices time to fully bloom and develop their flavours.

Remove and enjoy

Remove and enjoy

Once brewing is complete, carefully remove and discard the drip bag. Enjoy your coffee black to experience the full coffee and spice flavours, or add a splash of water or milk for a smoother, softer finish.
